ClickMeIn is all about making your experience amazing !

The current technology has already covered how to send data to your pc and secure it, it is a robust, decade old technology. On the other hand, experience parts were less developed as Remote Desktop access was mainly used for collaboration at your work place, working from home where the IT would install it and remote support that is operated by geeks that are fine with other products.

We focused on the rest and adapted technology for the rest of us people that sometimes want to take a file from their home PC, on speed and simplicity.

The main key factors we have been focused on are:

1. Connecting to it … without fighting with IP addresses, firewalls, routers, etc.
2. How fast is my PC reacting to my actions
3. How easy is it to get to your PC

Experience and Connection Quality

The connection quality may vary depending on the user’s location, access technology and bandwidth allocation. ClickMeIn constantly monitors the connection quality and if there’s a problem, we try to correct it immediately. A 5-bar quality indicator (1 bar for poor quality and 5 bars for excellent quality) located in the bottom right hand corner of the screen informs users of the connection quality at all times.

Creating a Remote Connection

1. User signs in at ClickMeIn™ website from any Internet-connected device
2. Authentication is performed opposite my credentials, via Facebook, if you used your Facebook account, or via email and password database
3. The control server is notifying the your PC that it is allowed to receive a connect connection from you.
4. The viewing PC will now take about 3 seconds to connect to via all possible ways to your PC from the point you are at. Directly, via uPNP, and finally indirectly through a 3rd party host.
5. The viewer then measures the expected connection quality from the viewing PC to your PC and tries to reduce screen quality to allow good experience
6. Now the viewing device establishes direct connection with your PC and you get your PC and Files

On Your PC

1. Every 100 milliseconds ClickMeIn RemoteEngine captures your screen
2. ClickMeIn RemoteEngine is looking for differences to transmit, it makes no sense to resend the same pictures again and again
3. Then it is compressing the JPG pictures, reducing their quality a bit for compression, resizing the picture to 70% of its size, on default, and marking where they should appear on your screen
4. Next, RemoteEngine is packing all into HTTP streams and packing it again, the goal is to allow a great experience at less than 100Kbps (US average is 500Kbps)
5. At this point RemoteEngine transferrers the data to ClickMeIn Connectivity which is responsible for sending the data to the viewer over the internet
6. ClickMeIn Connectivity is setting security tokens, encrypting the stream using SSL and sending it to the viewer.

On Viewing Device

The viewing device is a simple browser, it opens the HTTP stream sent by your PC, and displays it like an ordinary internet page – yes, it is that simple.

High Performance

ClickMeIn™ only transmits the screen image of your PC, and refreshes this image only when it changes. Powerful data compression is also used. The result is high performance without the “delay” often experienced in remote access solutions.

Software

Users download a 5MB from an ultra fast content distribution network – (2 seconds to install) installer on their computers. The software runs as a service and waits for a connection request. When a connection is requested, ClickMeIn™ verifies and authenticates the user prior to connection.

Since the ClickMeIn™ solution is based purely on HTML, it can be used with any browser and operating system and does not require the installation of any proprietary software on the viewing device.

Automatic Updates

We at ClickMeIn™ has this urge to fix and add more options and capabilities to the product, we are doing a great effort to make sure that all of our clients have the latest version. ClickMeIn™ will look for updates every time you login or every 24 hours from the moment you installed ClickMeIn™. If a new update is found, it is downloaded, the current version files removed and new version is installed. Takes less 10 seconds. We will almost never tell we did an update.
